In recent years Donati S.p.A. company’s commitment has led senior management to promote production and management policy that meets customer’s needs, communing with a specific focus on the needs on HSE topics.

The company policy is compliant with the applicable human rights standards and the provisions of the International Labor Organization (I.L.O.) and the National Collective Labor Contract (C.C.N.L.) and all the stakeholders of the Organization are required to respect this policy. Furthermore, in line with this ethical commitment, the company has chosen to voluntarily implement the S.M.E.T.A. standard.

To this end, the Senior Management endorses the following principles:

  • To implement information channels for both domestic entities and stakeholders, in order to spread the policy of the company Donati S.p.A. in all operating sites, and for external entities;
  • To enable a significant and widespread training-information program, covering all tasks in the quality area, so as to ensure compliance with quality standards, as well as in the environmental area, to comply with regulations, and in health and safety area, in order to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations regarding workers’ health and safety;
  • To meet the requirements of standards and compliance in HSE field;
  • To raise awareness and educate our suppliers and involve them in the promotion of quality and environmental protection, through a continuous dialogue and HSE requests, gradually more specific and stringent;
  • To collaborate with qualified designers and suppliers in order to fully meet customers’ needs, in terms of quality, aesthetics, organization, environment and safety;
  • To carry out specific checks to accurately and precisely answer to customers’ requests, also in order to allow the customer the obtaining and-or the maintenance of any environmental labels, also through laboratory analysis;
  • To implement plastic molding plants, with the further goal of a positive reduction in CO2 emissions;
  • To ensure healthy and safe working environments for workers, and for any other person;
  • To sensitize and educate workers, in order to allow them to carry out their tasks safely and being aware of their responsibilities;
  • To ensure the internal and external processes of the company and the disclosure and spread of the contents of the company policy to its staff, its sub-contractors, to each individual working on behalf of the company and to each stakeholder that fall within the context of the organization;
  • To prevent injuries, accidents and occupational diseases through proper risk assessment and risk control;
  • To reduce and eliminate accidents and diseases arising from work activities, aiming at minute training-informing, covering all the tasks;
  • To improve risk management through inspections targeted to evaluate and identify any criticality and-or suggestion for improvement;
  • To reduce potential causes of injury, through improvement actions, built as a result of analysis conducted by the Safety officers in charge;
  • To constantly monitor the level of control of residual risk –in terms of occupational safety– in order to minimize it, identifying each time the best available techniques;
  • To design and develop the components and assembly processes for all details according to a Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and a preventative risk assessment for safety and functionality, in order to provide a complete and safe product for both the operator and the user, taking into consideration the use of recyclable raw materials during the design phase;
  • To initiate a process to reduce energy consumption of non-renewable resources, through the use of renewable resources;
  • To manage waste so as to favor and enhance, where possible, recovery and recycling rather than disposal measures, apply procedures and specific instructions, and above all train our workers on the topic and seek innovative solutions and technologies;
  • To consider – during product design phases – environmental aspects (e.g. materials, production cycles, packaging, etc.), in a Life Cycle Perspective (LCP), devoting specific attention to the Design for Sustainability (DFS) available methods and techniques;
  • To maintain open and constructive relations with the institutions of public administration, with the community and with all stakeholders within the context where the company Donati S.p.A. operates;
  • To prevent emergencies, both in terms of Environmentally and Health and Safety, and anticipate and, in case of occurrence, take effective and efficient corrective action.

Knowing that each principle and target is achievable, especially with the involvement and collaboration of the entire organization, the Senior Management of the company Donati S.p.A. attributes fundamental importance to the responsibility awareness and occupational satisfaction of each one.
